Wear Blue (1/11) to End Human Trafficking!
January is recognized as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. The CWA Human Rights Department takes pride in supporting Flight Attendants and aviation first responders in their efforts to identify human traffickers and assist their victims.
On January 11, people all around the world will be wearing blue articles of clothing in observance of the annual #WearBlueDay. This day is observed to promote greater public awareness about the scourge of human trafficking. Human trafficking is a billion-dollar business, but Flight Attendants can act as 100,000 Eyes in the Skies to recognize and report it.
Want to participate? Here's how!
Join us in raising awareness about human trafficking by posting a photo of yourself and others wearing blue on social media platforms. When sharing your post, don't forget to include the hashtags #WearBlueDay and #TacklingTrafficking. If you're using Twitter/X, make sure to tag @afa_cwa to spread the word even further. Additionally, we encourage you to finish the statement #WeWearBlueBecause to share why you're participating and help others to join the cause.
Feel free to tag our social media accounts (@cwalocal1040 on Facebook and Instagram) or email our Communications Director Sean ([email protected]) with your pics so we can share our members taking a stand. Thanks for taking a stand to end human trafficking with us!
