CWA Local 1040 Announces the Carolyn C. Wade Memorial Scholarship Fund!

We are proud to announce the Carolyn C. Wade Memorial Scholarship Fund opportunity for our members! These scholarships honor Carolyn C. Wade, President Emeritus of CWA Local 1040, who worked tirelessly throughout her life to advance labor and build our Local into the powerhouse that it is today!

Applicants will have a chance to win one of four $1,000 scholarships or one of ten $500 book scholarships. To be eligible, applicants must be a member of CWA Local 1040 or a dependent of a member. They also must be enrolled in an institution of higher learning for the 2026 - 2027 academic school year. All recipients will be required to show proof enrollment upon notification and no later than January 29, 2027. 

Winners will be selected through a random drawing at our 42nd annual convention in October. All applications must be in possession of the Local's Education Committee by Wednesday September 30, 2026.
